Mid-West Steel Building Company awarded the City of Mansfield’s Maintenance Complex its 2015 Building of the Year Award. The Maintenance Complex houses several city departments that provide support and services to local residents.

The Building of the Year Award recognizes innovative, aesthetically-remarkable, green structures built with pre-engineered metal building components reflecting high standards and superior quality.

Mid-West’s Designer™ Series Fluted insulated wall and SuperLok® standing seam roof panels were specified components for the complex’s design. The non-symmetrical roof slope gives the building its unique and striking appearance. The project began in September of 2014 and the new 42,000 square foot complex officially opened its doors March 2015 to serve the community of Mansfield.

Pete Durant and Associates served as the General Contractor for the project, while the in-house design team of McGee Architects were instrumental to the facility’s architectural design. Building Specialists, Inc. of Arlington, TX served as the Mid-West builder for the project.

City officials commended all involved for meeting an aggressive completion schedule that led to the successful opening of the complex. Mid-West is honored to present the award to our distinguished partner, Building Specialist, Inc., and hopes to continue completing successful projects that demonstrate distinguished leadership in the steel building industry.
