Mid-West Steel Building Company's 2009 Building of the Year

North West Houston Family Practice
Project Name: North West Houston Family Practice
Location: Houston, TX
Builder: Pillar & Strong

Special Features:
Construction on the North West Houston Family Practice by Pillar & Strong Inc. of Houston, Texas began in February 2009 and was completed in December 2009. This pre-engineered metal building is 10,000 square feet and features several metal products. Additionally, it was chosen as Mid-West’s 2009 Building of the Year!

Curved Mid-West Batten-Lok® panels were used as well as Ultra-Dek® panels. The Batten-Lok® system is a standing seam product with concealed clips which provide for thermal expansion. The Ultra-Dek® panels are also standing seam and eliminate 80% of through-fasteners. For the walls, PBR panels were employed for an even-shadowed appearance.

This impressive medical facility also includes artisan soffit CMU block walls, EIFs walls, fascia band EIFs wrapping the corners and curved glass at curved roof areas. It’s easy to see just why this impressive building was awarded this prestigious honor. Pillar & Strong Inc. went to all lengths to ensure excellence in this project.
