The City of Mansfield Maintenance Complex, located in Mansfield, Texas, houses several city departments that provide support and services to local residents. The project began in September of 2014 and the new 42,000 square foot complex officially opened its doors March 2015 to serve its community.
Mid-West’s Designer™ Series Fluted insulated wall and SuperLok® standing seam roof panels were specified components for the complex’s design. The non-symmetrical roof slope gives the building its unique and striking appearance.
Pete Durant and Associates served as the General Contractor for the project, while the in-house design team of McGee Architects were instrumental to the facility’s architectural design. Building Specialists, Inc. of Arlington, TX served as the Mid-West builder for the project.
City officials commended all involved for meeting an aggressive completion schedule that led to the successful opening of the complex. The Seanic Ocean Systems building offers solutions for deep-water exploration in Katy, Texas. Lonestar Construction was the project’s builder, Steve Husmann was the project’s architect and Loy Construction served as the erector. The building utilizes both gable symmetrical and single slope framing. Mid-West’s PBR and Ultra-Dek® roof panels were specified components for the project, in addition to Mid-West’s PBR wall panels. Stucco and masonry were used on the office building’s exterior for favorable aesthetics. The building also holds a large test pool similar to those at NASA and a crane with a 20-ton crane load.
Huffo Services, Inc. served as the builder for the new gym at Frassati Catholic School in Spring, Texas. The 51,990-square-foot gymnasium and fine arts building features a 17,000-square-foot gymnasium with two volleyball/basketball courts. The building features a hybrid structure framing system and an Ultra-Dek® roof system. The open cell spray foamed walls and roof ensure energy efficiency and the opti-liner fabric on the gym ceiling add additional specialty features to the building.
Located in San Antonio, TX, the San Antonio Wholesale Product Market is a cold storage produce distribution center. Cantera Design Builders served as the project’s Builder and General Contractor, while Idea Group was fundamental to the building’s architectural design. R&V Erectors served as the project’s erector.
The building utilizes both a Single Slope and Longbay® frame. Mid-West’s DoubleLok® roof and PBR wall panels in five finishes were specified components for the project. The 212,600 square foot facility features downspouts and awnings. Each building unit is made up of 30 individual units with individual cooler and office space. The covered front dock and mezzanine are special features of the facility.
The Newpark Manufacturing and Distribution Center in Conroe, Texas features a gable symmetrical and hybrid structure framing system. Mid-West’s PBR roof panels were specificed components for the project, as well as the Designer ™ Series panels in Solar White for concealed wall fastening. Synchro Building Corporation served as the builder, general contractor and architect for the project. The 65,200 square foot commercial warehouse also features mezzanines, stairs and liners.
Southern Star Brewery in Conroe, Texas is a regional brewer of craft beers. Huffco Services, Inc. served as the project’s builder and Huffco’s very own Chris Fritsche served as head architect. The brewery features a gable symmetrical framing system with PBR roof panels. PBR and PBU wall panels were also specified components. The 27,000 square foot brewery also features a 100′ Clear Span frame designed to house large beer brewing equipment.
The Ashton Sawing & Drilling facility serves as home base in Houston, Texas for Mid-West Builder Ashton Sawing & Drilling. The facility utilizes a gable symmetrical framing. Mid-West’s DoubleLok® roof and PBR wall panels were specified components for the project. The 23,000 square foot facility features parapet walls, a skewed entry and polished concrete.
Cantera Design Builders served as the builder for the Loomis Armored building project. A counting, handling and storage of cash facility located in Highland Village, Texas, the facility utilizes a Longbay® framing system. WS Steel served as the erector and McHale Engineering as the architect. The building is 37,500 square feet and features a tilt wall, thickened slab for vaulting, extra security measures and is a PEMB hybrid.
Located in Waller, Texas, the Burkhart Compression building is a compressor manufacturing facility. Lonestar Construction was the builder for the project and Steve Husmann was the head architect. The building utilizes a gable symmetrical framing system, Ultra-Dek® roof system and PBR wall panels.
Merrick Pet Care Distribution Center is a 237,600 square foot facility located in Hereford, Texas. Merrick Pet Care provides wholesome food for cats and dogs throughout the USA. Dane Construction Inc. served as the builder, erector and roofing contractor for the project. Mid-West’s DoubleLok® roof system was a utilized component for the project. The warehouse features 2″ striated insulated wall panels that give the building green attributes. Additionally, the building utilizes Long Bay® roofing system with open web purlins.
